Corsa VXR

One of the biggest Vauxhall sellers, Corsa VXR had 5 generations of high performance, pulse-quickening vehicles. Free spirits that brought power, personality and  ‘go’ to the road.

Corsa VXR

The Corsa VXR, Vauxhall's ultra-powerful hot-hatch, raised the bar for small, fast hatchbacks. Leaping from 0 to 60mph in 6.5 seconds and pushing the needle to a top speed of 143mph.

It boasted a rear spoiler, twin Remus exhaust pipes and six exterior colour options, including Flash Blue (unique to this model). Inside you found standard Recaro seats, a leather flat-bottomed steering wheel and sports pedals, plus VXR gear-lever and instruments. Heated windscreen and IntelliLink connectivity came as standard.

Corsa VXR Clubsport

This was one mean Corsa. Check out the 205PS 1.6-litre turbocharged engine, Drexler mechanical limited-slip differential, Bilstein developed chassis set up, uprated Remus sports exhaust and high performance Brembo braking.

Running on 98 octane fuel, the Clubsport model pushed performance to a whole new level. 0-60mph in 6.5 seconds, top speed 143 mph. With an ABS traction control and electronic stability programme recalibrated to balance the potency. The Corsa VXR Clubsport. A hot hatch that delivered big time.

Corsa VXR Blue

Don’t ask. This Corsa VXR came in no other colour but blue. But the Arden Blue metallic paint wasn’t the only thing that was cool. The 1.6i 16v ECOTEC-4 turbo engine blazed from 0-60mph in 6.8 seconds and clocked a top speed of 140mph. The maximum torque could be increased to 260+Nm for 5 seconds with the turbo overboost button. Lowered and uprated VXR sport suspension and the switchable Electronic Stability Control with traction control ensured a road-hugging ride. Tinted windows and 18-inch alloys added swagger.

Corsa VXR Arctic

Only 500 of this Limited Edition Corsa VXR Arctic were built. Each individually numbered model came with exclusive all-white paint finish, gloss black 18-inch V-spoke alloys, black VXR door mirrors, dark tinted rear glass and electric glass sunroof - all never seen before on VXR models.

With bold good looks came effortless performance. The 192PS, 1.6-litre turbocharged engine reached 0-60mph in 6.8 seconds and a maximum speed of 140mph. Add in the throaty roar of the Remus Sports Exhaust system. A car as cool as ice.

Corsa VXR Nürburgring

A legendary name that took some living up to. But the Corsa VXR Nürburgring Edition didn’t disappoint. Blooded on Germany's notorious Nürburgring Nordschleife test circuit, a  205PS 1.6 litre turbocharged engine, Bilstein-developed chassis setup, uprated sports exhaust and high-performance Brembo braking made this the most powerful Corsa ever. But the Drexler mechanical limited-slip differential helped tame the power and enhanced the cornering. 0-60mph in 6.5 seconds, this was a hot hatch to take to the max.
