Was Zafira VXR the fastest ever people carrier? With a 0-60mph time of 7.2 seconds and a top speed of 144mph, it was a serious contender. This impressive performance featured a six-speed gearbox connected to a fuel-injected 2.0 16v ECOTEC-4 turbo engine - which generated 240PS and produced 320Nm.Powerful stuff. And the Zafira VXR had the look of a high performance vehicle - bold shape, chunky bumpers, spoilers, alloy wheels and twin-chromed exhausts.

For a vehicle that could carry seven people, comfort and space were important. The sport seats were snug and offered good support. Inside was roomy and the racing feel was heightened by VXRacing door sill covers and a carbon-fibre effect B pillar with a stylish VXRacing logo. An individually numbered identifier plaque added a unique touch.
